- Simplify wiring by adding a piggyback loom
To simplify the camera wiring installation, you can add the MUD Piggy-Back Loom to your order. The MUD Piggy Back Loom creates a simple plug & play method of taking power to the camera via the reverse lamp wiring at the back of the car. Note: You will need to extend the fly leads from the piggyback loom to the front of the vehicle. See the ‘Resources’ section for the full wiring diagram. - Compatible with all headunits and radios
Unlike other Defender-specific cameras on the market, our Defender Reverse Camera kit provides one-size-fits-all compatibility with both AHD (High-Definition) (E.g. Alpine Halo, Stinger Heigh10) and more traditional CVBS Double-DIN head-unit screens. - Supplied with all the fixings you need
The camera housing is made of plastic and can be painted if you wish. The Land Rover Defender Reverse Camera kit is supplied with wiring harness and all fixings required.
የመጫኛ መመሪያዎች
- You’ll notice on the camera loom there are a pair of thin white and a green loop wires.
- The Green wire is the ‘Flip Image’ wire.
- Cutting the Green wire will flip the image from a reverse camera image to a forward-facing camera image. The default camera image as supplied is a reverse camera image so this wire should be left intact.
- The WHITE wire is for the Parking Lines.
- If you wish to remove parking lines from the image, cut the White wire.
MUD Piggy ጀርባ Loom
- If you are using the MUD Piggy Back Loom follow the following instructions;
- Plug the MUD Piggy Back loom into the Reverse Lamp loom.
- You will now need to route the RCA cable down the length of the vehicle. You will notice the fly leads on the RCA cable that need connecting to the fly leads on the piggyback loom are at the end of the RCA cable which is connected into your head-unit. You will therefore need to extend the red and black fly leads from the piggyback loom to the front of the vehicle to connect into the +VE (red) and VE (black) wires. This provides the trigger for the camera.

Can the camera see the tow bar?
No. There is a spare tyre in the way. It is not a magic camera.
I have upgraded my rear washer jet with an aftermarket billet aluminium washer jet. Will the Defender camera kit work with my aftermarket washer jet?
As you can see from the pictures, the camera mount has been designed to follow the outline of the OE washer jet as closely as possible. Most aftermarket washer jets are physically larger than the OE washer jet so will not be compatible with the camera housing.
